Minwoo Ahn is a Social Scientist and Public Administration Scholar born and raised in Daegu, South Korea. Then, he moved to Seoul, studied at Yonsei University for six years, and received his Bachelor and Master of Arts in Public Administration. His research theme revolved around organization theory, local government, civic participation, and other interesting public sector issues (people, structure, reforms, etc.). He published several articles on these topics and has links on his google scholar page (Most of his papers published in Korean journals have English Abstract, although they are not well-polished in the English language. He is happy to chat about his previous works in South Korea).
After working in the public sector job for the KLID in Seoul, South Korea, he entered the Ph.D. program in the School of Government and Public Policy (SGPP) at the University of Arizona for the hope of better understanding collaborative and network governance to remedy many of social and public problems. At the University of Arizona, his study focuses on the study of collaborative governance from a behavioral. organizational, and institutional perspective and apply them to the environment and energy policy setting.
Minwoo enjoys hiking beautiful trails in Arizona, chatting with people from diverse backgrounds, and thinking about creative solutions to social, public, and natural resource problems.
